Should seniors attend a "Transition Camp" before entering a college band camp?

I think a "Transition Camp" is a much needed final step for students going off to college marching band camps for several reasons. The first benefit to this type of camp is that it helps to prepare the student mentally for the changes of not having mom or dad to wake them and give those morning instructions or advise. What? No more music in elementary schools? WTF!!!

What effects will discontinuing

music in elementary schools have on the community? I personally believe

it's more harm than good. The effects can be seen on the high school level where fewer numbers of inner city music student's are chosen in the "District Honor Bands" and "All-State Band" programs. I understand if most people have no idea on what I'm saying in this blog, but some things just need to be said anyway. If you've never produced or directed a band program that plays beyond a level "5" grade music at the festival, should you really be judging bands that have exceeded your level of instructions?
